Our Story:
From Homebrew to Microbrewery
The story of Axe & Arrow is your classic homebrewing story… a couple of South Jersey guys started messing around in the garage, brewing beer on the weekends. Axe & Arrow founders, Josh & Krystle Lockman decided to make the homebrewing dream a reality. Named for the Scottish heritage of Josh Lockman, Axe & Arrow was born.
In 2024, the team expanded with Bob Wilson, Matt Torbik, and Ray Burr partnering with Krystle to take over the day to day operations of Axe and Arrow Brewing.
In 2025, long time friend Nick McMillen was brought as a partner to take over as head brewer to keep cranking out those Axe and Arrow favorites while also adding to the selection of styles we offer, and bringing his expertise to increase quality control and shelf life of our beers.
